Our efforts thusfar are focused mainly on getting the word out, canvassing interest in starting an organization, and trying to answer basic questions relating to siting protein-from-air production in BC and reproducing an example factory. We need to get it through to people that we are talking about thousands of times less land and water for the same proteins and oils. Therefore we feel we all ought to join together. The key is electricity, which some places could have in abundance. There should be organizations that can be taken seriously representing popular engagement with this technology and its potential. If we get up and running, we can participate in the following ways:
- Advocating for a government taskforce on rapid scale up of food-from-air production
- Advocating for government support for food-from-air production
- Advocating for appropriate post-secondary education in cellular agriculture
- Addressing gaps in advancing and reproducing effective solutions
- Acting as an informed advocate in any governmental consultations about food-from-air production
- Organizing information sharing and networking among professionals and non-professionals
- Preparing guidance papers. Some examples could include
- Siting a production facility
- Reproducing a factory from an example
- Some implications of using fossil fuels for production
- Arranging article submission by experts
